The Petersburg Arts Council is a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the cultural and artistic landscape of Petersburg, VA. By fostering partnerships with local artists, businesses, city departments, and community organizations, the council supports, sponsors, and promotes a wide range of public art projects and cultural events throughout the city. We focus on ensuring that art and culture play a central role in community development, economic revitalization, and public engagement.

Our Objectives
Friday for the Arts
Friday For the Arts is a city-wide celebration curated by Petersburg's own — local businesses, artists, and community members activating spaces across the city every Second Friday. We invite neighbors, visitors, and the wider region to witness and participate in an arts scene that's been quietly building something extraordinary.
Creative Proposals
The Petersburg Arts Council (PAC) believes in supporting artists. We work to provide the space, opportunity, and assistance for artists to create. We believe that artists should be able to thrive in their creative careers through their work being, seen, celebrated, and supported.
